DREAMERS CHALLENGE SEPT 23RD, FARM LIFE

This weeks theme is

"Farm LIfe"

I grew up on a farm in Nampa Idaho.

It was a very wholesome life.

We had milk cows and I remember all the milkers

and the milk cans and the truck that picked up the milk.

My cousin milked some of the cows by hand and would squirt milk in my face.

We had chickens and my Mother sold the eggs and we had lots of fried chicken dinners.

We had a pantry filled with yummy goodies made with fresh milk and butter and the dinner table always had fresh raw milk and fresh butter along with homemade jam.

We had acres of corn and hay and hired hands that my Aunt cooked for so they sat at our table too.

We had tractors, hay wagons, cows, horses, pigs and many farm cats.

Whenever I am in my home town I drive by the old farm but its not the same.

The house burned to the ground in the 70's.

It was a good life and I have many fond memories.

UPDATE OF NEXT WEEKS DREAMERS CHALLENGE

Okay Blogger did it again!! I was able to add the Sneak Peek for next weeks challenge. Please go check it out and again I am so sorry this keeps happening. UGH!!

Also for the past two weeks my husband has been in the hospital with Sepsis, a deadly blood infection from a major surgery he had in a hospital three hours away from our home on June 7th.

I have been a bit out of sorts so if I botched anything please forgive me. He is on the mend now and may be coming home today.

DREAMERS CHALLENGE JUNE 17TH, LITTLE PIGGY

This weeks theme is

"Little Piggy"

Growing up on a farm we had pigs

Big pigs, little pigs, pink pigs and black and white pigs.

They are adorable when they are little but can get kind of mean when they get older.

Feeding the pigs was interesting.

They eat corn from the silo and any scraps from dinner that you have.

They love to wallow in the mud. My niece had a pig too. She named her Patti!

Oink Oink.....
