This weeks theme is

"Circus"

I have only been to a circus twice in my life.

Once as a child and then later after I was married and we lived in Las Vegas.

There is a casino there called Circus Circus and they have the circus players everyday.

I took my little boys to see it.

Everything about a circus is amazing. From the flying trapeze to the trained elephants.

I love ice cream but unfortunately I am lactose intolerant so

I have to eat Frozen Yogurt instead which is just as yummy.

DREAMERS CHALLENGE MARCH 18th, EASTER BASKET

This weeks theme is

"Easter Basket"

Lots of children are excited for Easter Sunday and many 

get to have an Easter Egg hunt putting the eggs in an Easter Basket.

Fun to see who finds the most eggs.

Those who don't have Easter Egg Hunts usually have candy eggs but either way it is fun!

My memories of Easter are precious.

My Auntie Maxine would make matching Easter dresses and bonnets

for my cousin and I .

We would go to church to worship our Lord and always remember the true meaning of  Easter and then we would go to Grandmas house for Sunday dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. There was always a chocolate bunny in the crowd somewhere too.

I of Irish descent and proud of it.

I should have red hair I guess but I grew up with black hair and olive skin.

I have lots of good memories of mice as a child.

I found a mouse nest in our wood pile and there were babies in it but no Mom.

I fed them with milk off the end of a spoon until my Mother found out!

DREAMERS CHALLENGE JANUARY 28th, WAGON TRAIN

"Wagon Train"

My great great grandmother was a cook for the Wagon Train that traveled the Oregon Trail.

I have some of her skillets and my niece has some pots.

This had to be such a hard journey to make. Days and days riding in a covered wagon in the heat, cold, wind and rain.

Pioneers have my respect that is for sure.

I am thankful to be living in this day.

Luckily we only get a small amount of snow here in Coos Bay.

We are considered the Banana Belt of the Southern Coast.
